I came to painting full-time later in life, though art has always been part of how I see the world. Creativity runs in my family—both my maternal grandparents were professional artists, and my mother shaped the way I learned to truly look. It was the beginning of everything I do now.

After raising my children and building a business, I chose to return to that way of seeing—to dedicate myself fully to painting, with purpose.

My work is rooted in heritage, belonging, and the quiet pull of where we come from. Having lived across cultures, I don’t blend them into one—I honor each in its own voice, its own history, its own truth.

I create pieces meant to live in homes—to bring a sense of connection, memory, and meaning into everyday spaces. Whether it’s a place once known, a culture deeply felt, or a story waiting to be told, each painting is created to resonate personally.

Nature continues to fill me with awe, reflecting the presence of the Creator in every detail. Alongside it, I’m drawn to traditional art forms—from Russian Khokhloma to Moroccan geometry, Persian glasswork, and Mughal inlay—each carrying generations of beauty and craftsmanship.

What began as a personal calling has grown into GulnArt, where I create original works and commissions for those seeking something more than decoration—something that feels like home.
